In today's Granicus Summer School: Customer Experience 101 session, Nick talked about the importance of welcome messages. Who out there is willing to share examples or best practices related to welcome messages?


Does anyone leverage welcome messages for any other purposes like those mentioned in the session?


  • Promote high priority content
  • Encourage subscribers to sign up for other topics and categories
  • Ask subscribers to answer questions or provide information
  • Direct subscribers toward other content streams and resources

Welcome messages seem like a great way to "cross-pollinate" your messaging. Your Parks newsletter might draw people in, but they may be interested in learning more about your water conservation programs or signing up for recycling alerts.
