We're very excited to have Community Engagement Coordinator MJ Lamon and Water Resources Manager Jessica VanDerWerff Wilson from the City of Edina, MN, share their insights, experience and true expertise in engagement through Better Together Edina in a webinar next Thursday, Nov. 10 at 2 p.m. ET / 11 a.m. PT.
Edina has been able to gather reliable community feedback for a wide range of projects that have seriously informed their decision-making. From infrastructure improvements to climate action plans, they’ve included the community in conversations from the very start to ensure initiatives reflect the values of residents and to reduce the risk of pushback in late-stage projects.
When I was working with them to plan the webinar, Jessica made a comment that "humbly facing the problem with people helped us to build trust" and I know that resonated with me!
I hope you'll take the opportunity to join the webinar and participate in the Q&A with these two incredibly insightful engagement professionals.
Register for the webinar here. If you can't make it, you'll get a recording afterward as long as you register. You'll still be able to continue the conversation over here in govCommunity!
