A super user or non-super user assigned to a Security Role that contains the “Friendly URL Redirect” permissions can create friendly URL redirects.

Step 1

Log in to the CMS and click on “Configurations”> “Friendly URL Redirect”. Select “Add Friendly URL”

Step 2

Fill out the fields to establish the friendly URL redirect:

  1. Alias: This is the text that will appear after the domain (
  2. Location: This is the destination of the Friendly URL being created. Paste in the destination URL if it is an external source, or click in the field to select an internal page from the tree menu
  3. Redirect Type- 301- Permanent vs 302- Temporary:
    1.  A permanent redirect should be used if the redirect is intended to replace the current URL for the page permanently. Search engines will not index the content that is at the originating URL, instead only the content at the redirect URL. Since the content is only indexed once, this will be better for SEO purposes.
    2.  A temporary redirect should be used if it is intended to be temporary or to be used in addition to the original URL. This is because both URLs (the originating and the designated redirect URL) will be indexed.

      Save when ready.

Maintaining a high number of friendly URL redirects can lead to negative site performance issues, including slow loading times when navigating the site. Whenever possible, please delete old, unused redirects before creating new ones.

Once the changes have been saved, due to server caching protocols, the redirect may not reflect the update right away, sometimes up to 24-48 hours. You can perform a “Purge CDN Cache” to propagate the change across all of our servers. When performing the “Purge CDN Cache”, please use the full Friendly URL for the redirect that was updated (
